Social media is a fantastic community used by more than 80 million small businesses worldwide to increase brand awareness and connect with their audience. While deciding on topics for your social content is straightforward, utilising social media tools to harness the potential of your content is a major key to the success of your social campaign.
Whether you’re looking to boost your social media presence or are contemplating starting out on social media to begin promoting your brand, using the right tools to amplify and excel your social content is key in achieving higher engagement with your audience and gaining more traction.
In order to get you started, we have compiled a list of some of the best social media management tools that we use within our social media marketing campaigns to support in creating an expertly crafted social campaign for our clients.
1. Falcon
Of course, your content needs to go out at the right time and scheduling your content is an excellent idea for posts that are very time-specific to suit your audience. Scheduling tools allow you to schedule content in advance, so even when you’re out-of-office or anywhere in the world, your social channels are still running smoothly!
In recent weeks, we moved over to Falcon.io which allows you to create posts for your favourite social networks on a collaborative content calendar designed to suit every kind of social media marketer. It integrates with HubSpot, Microsoft, and Salesforce to help users streamline marketing tasks among teams.
Falcon also allows you to benchmark against competitors and features social listening, sentiment recording, in-built social media advertising and even organic feed targeting and geo gating which is exclusive to the Falcon platform.
For our social clients, we are able to provide a smoother social media management service and even target local areas both organically and without a cost. With advanced and automated analytics and reporting, we’re also able to send some of our social clients an optional automated report every week.
2. Social HP
Social HP is an employee engagement tool which allows you to provide your employees with a voice on social media. Organisations are able to extend their reach (from a marketing perspective) to the audiences owned by their employees through employee advocacy.
Social HP allows for sophisticated posting with employees coming across as more professional as tailored content is regularly posted to their social feeds relevant to the industry. It enables employees to share approved brand content with their personal networks in an efficient, consistent, and measurable way.
With Social HP transforming your team into a social media marketing army, we think it’s an excellent tool to use for those businesses who wish their sales team were on the ball with social selling.
3. Canva
Canva allows you to create social media graphics, presentations, posters and other visual content in an easy-to-use free platform, and with thousands of templates to provide you with inspiration, you’ll be able to create incredible and eye-catching graphics even if you aren’t very creative.
We love using Canva for creating unique social media graphics with its easy-to-use features and functionality to create engaging content that gets shared by your audience. After creating your masterpiece, you can download your work as image files or PDFs or immediately share them on your social media networks.
While Canva is free to use, you do have the option to access a premium version at a small monthly fee which provides you with additional features and unlimited downloads.
4. Unfold
Unfold is a free iOS and Android app that helps you create stunning graphics for your Instagram stories. With over 150 creative templates for you to choose from, you can very easily bring your vision to life by creating stylish collages to engage your audience on your stories.
You can take your stories to the next level by creating professional social content in a simple and intuitive way. You can also choose from different fonts, unique filters and presets, and add personality to your content with stickers and stamps.
5. Unsplash
While Unsplash isn’t strictly a social media tool, we still love to use it for accessing royalty-free images to use in social content and to support in the templates we create on Canva and Unfold. With their growing library of over 1.5 million photos, Unsplash provides free images relevant to your chosen topic which are provided by over 110,000 contributing photographers around the world.
Whether you’re looking for an image of the stunning British countryside or even an image relating to current events, you’ll be able to find exactly what you’re looking for on Unsplash.
6. Linktree
Instagram is an excellent platform for reaching your audience, however, the only issue with Instagram posting is that you are unable to post a link to your website in your posts. While you can post a link to your website in your Instagram bio, only one link is allowed.
Linktree resolves this issue by optimising your Instagram traffic and creating a portal that displays unlimited website links. This means that you can add all of your favourite blog links and service pages with ease. This means that you can connect audiences to all of your content with just one link, which can be customised to suit your branding and houses all of the important links you want to share with your audience.
Although Linktree is most useful on Instagram, you can also use it on TikTok, Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter or LinkedIn.
7. Google Alerts
Social media can be used as a foundation for discussions in your industry. For this reason, you should keep up-to-date with relevant trends in your industry by staying on the radar with top news, which will also give you some ideas for fresh content. This is also great for your organic SEO!
Sign up to Google Alerts to receive regular content relevant to your industry, just by adding your own keyword(s). With Google Alerts, you can choose to receive emails on a daily, weekly or even real-time basis.
