Timeoutdoors is an events company focusing on getting people active and outdoors. Promoting a serious of fitness events such as walking events, running events, cycling events, triathlons and more. With the health and fitness industry in England growing by the year, Timeoutdoors need to do everything they can to stay competitive. They came to us at Digital Ethos to help give them an edge over the competition.
Timeoutdoors came to us with a concern that their competitors were gaining ground on them, looking for strategies to tackle the competition head-on. They had their own dedicated teams focusing on traffic, SEO and content. This meant there was no issue with organic keywords on the website.
We at Digital Ethos started by creating a resource file, exposing competitor gap analysis, competitor audits, keyword potential and backlink opportunities. Alongside this, we conducted an in-depth site audit to analyse the on-page SEO metadata.
From our site audit, we identified areas that could be improved from an on-page SEO perspective. We looked to optimise target keyword placement within the site’s metadata to help Google read and rank the site in the search results page. We identified and optimised a series of landing pages with these target keywords in the metadata.
To help with further campaigns in the future we proposed that Digital Ethos conducts a series of pieces of training on SEO, PPC and social media. This was to help improve expertise in the future. We would provide an ongoing consultative approach towards social media marketing and future content creation.
