Reflex Vehicle Hire.
National rankings, with localised presence. We scaled this SEO campaign to reach new customers in major cities across the UK and dominate search rankings.
Reflex Vehicle Hire is a nationwide commercial vehicle rental company, providing businesses with car and van rental solutions, at an affordable price.
The rental company first approached Digital Ethos for holistic digital marketing support. With their corporate hierarchy, it was important to prove value in digital marketing as a source of revenue and growth.
Reflex Vehicle Hire needed to gain national rankings to give them more exposure and allow them to compete effectively with the competition.
First, we carried out a comprehensive user experience audit, allowing us to create new wireframes and page designs. We didn’t want to start driving traffic to a website that didn’t allow for an optimal user experience.
Once we nailed the designs, we shifted our focus to content. Re-writing existing content allowed us to execute our SEO keyword strategy, increasing the length of the copy and optimising for intent and keywords. A large part of the strategy was focused on creating localised landing pages, enabling national reach, whilst showcasing their local expertise. We carried out extensive keyword research to prioritise major cities, working through over 30 localised landing pages.
As well as this, we needed to make it easier for the current traffic to convert. So we implemented a ‘bot’ popup, making it significantly easier for users to start the conversation; something that had slowed down since not being able to attend trade shows and speak to customers face to face during the lockdown.
2 years into the campaign, there’s been fantastic traction as their online presence grows further. Here are some highlights:
- 225% increase in organic traffic
- Over 3000 goal completions, with 1346 of them being through organic
- 1.9 million impressions over the last 12 months
- 283% increase in keyword rankings on page 1 of Google
- 206 total ranking keywords in August 2020, as of today, they have 1348
Where are they Now?
Today, Reflex are still with us. We’ve made the move from localised landing pages to blog content (with the occasional landing page here and there), as we focus on targeting top-funnel users with the kind of informational content that will get user attention. And as the UK starts to make its shift toward electric vehicles, this is a constant part of our strategy as we showcase what Reflex is doing in terms of being EV ready.
